The depth of the dungeon is a mystery that unknown someone has created rumors about. In MazyMazes, you'll join a team of adventurers searching for an amethyst that houses a god of the earth. The dungeon comes packed with puzzling riddles and quests on dark and obscure floors. It's a semi-DRPG with third-person and first-person perspectives. The game uses an implicit and fragmentary one-line text system to explain the world of MazyMazes to you.
A turn-based classic battle system where all acts including guarding consume the item's durability makes the game unique. At the beginning, all characters have the same status, but each has an inclination that defines their growing tendency. Players can make a party of six members, register up to 30 members and select them at will. Expect strict and austere level design. A level-up results in the member gaining a status point. Additional statuses grow alongside the primary attribute. However, there is also the possibility of nothing happening.
Unique displays of exploration mode, which use original graphics and game libraries, make gameplay intriguing. The world is shut in, yet it has exciting challenges that are thrilling to play. Players need to map their movements, and wristing out a pencil and graph paper with over 25x25 grid is recommended.
MazyMazes' control system is simple. Use the left and right triangle buttons to change menu items and the party's direction. Use the A button to select a menu item or move forward and the B button to cancel or enter the Camp-menu mode. The app supports keyboard (enter => A, space => B) and the gamepad too. Control layout can be changed in the settings mode.
The developer himself translated the app from Japanese to English, and numerous English errors may be present. The app's development and text are credited to elfspringfield, while onsol11 and Toriotto provided the background and monster graphics, respectively. Frame Design curated the frames, while PeriTune and Komori Taira handled the background music, and sound effects.
