Game overview
Help Shakespeare overcome writer's block and solve cashflow problems in London, 1605 in this text adventure game.
Get ready to transport yourself to 1605 London and assist none other than the legendary wordsmith, William Shakespeare himself. The bubonic plague has forced theatres to shut down, and our protagonist is grappling with writer's block while coping with the financial strains that come with being out of business. In addition to this, Shakespeare has lost his pen! Your mission is to play the role of the iconic playwright, lift him out of his writer's block and uncover inspiration for a new masterpiece! But it doesn't stop there. You'll also need to navigate through the busy streets of London and assist with the daily operations of the Globe Theatre. Shakespeare's debt to Thom the Rogue is also mounting, which you'll need to address.
Although Shakespeare is better acquainted with the city than you are, you will be provided with maps to help you on your quest. You'll get to explore a "cleaner" rendition of London, with less undesirable aspects such as violence and repulsiveness. This game is a thrilling interactive fiction experience, completely free from intrusive advertisements. Stay tuned for part II!
So, are you ready to leave your own mark on history and help William Shakespeare himself? Then look no further than textvoyage.wordpress.com and embark on this enchanting experience!
