ABC der Tiere-App teaches children to read with proven syllable method. Covers entire first grade curriculum. Fun exercises and engaging mascots Sil and Ben.
ABC der Tiere-App is a demo version of the full version that contains only two pages of the reading book and their corresponding games.
The ABC der Tiere-App:
With the syllable method, every child can efficiently learn how to read using the "ABC der Tiere-App." This app offers a variety of exercises for children aged five and above, making learning to read playful and deeper.
The app has been awarded the "Comenius EduMedia Seal of Approval 2016" by a specialized jury who honors valuable educational media. This seal of approval certifies the ABC der Tiere-App's high teaching and media quality.
Advantages:
The syllable method is a well-established and tested concept. Its application is fundamental for children to learn how to read effectively through the colored syllable separator, which is particularly beneficial for learning how to read:
1. The syllables are displayed in reading order (left to right). For many children, the reading direction may be unclear, and this can lead to difficulties in reading and spelling. Knowing the reading direction is fundamental, and through the syllabic display, it becomes clear.
2. Children can see and hear the syllables at the same time with sound on.
3. The children perceive syllables as units, visually (by the shape of the text), haptically (the syllable appears when tapped), and acoustically (with sound on), making it easier to read and training spelling.
4. The reading speed can be self-determined.
5. The syllables can be reset and repeated at any time.
6. Text quantity is not overwhelming and does not cause a lack of concentration. Attention is focused on the syllable currently appearing.
7. The syllable display with a finger tap has a high level of appeal and thus motivates playful engagement with the text and the German language in general.
The app offers extensive material: the entire curriculum of the first school year is covered.
The texts are read aloud, and the tasks are explained so that children can practice with the app alone, even if they cannot read at first.
The kneaded figures, Sil and Ben, are the mascots and good spirits of the app. With their fun and child-friendly manner, they motivate playful learning.
