Panoramica del gioco
Revive grains by playing Puluc, the Mayan running-fight board game, against a friend or three different levels of AI.
Puluc, also known as Buul or Boolik, is an antiquated Mayan board game centered around running and fighting. Originally imbued with ritualistic significance, Puluc was played by the Mayan people on the eve of maize sowing to help revitalize grains. This game bears some resemblance to Backgammon, a traditional game that is still played today.
The main objective of Puluc is to capture and eliminate the opposing player's pieces. The play area is divided into identical spaces using parallel sticks, while each participant controls a base on either side of the board. Both players start with five chips in their bases.
Taking turns, players roll the dice and move any of their chips accordingly towards the enemy's base. When a chip lands on the same space as an enemy's chip, the enemy's chip is captured, no longer under enemy control. If a chip lands on an enemy chip that has already taken prisoners, it captures that chip and releases any prisoners.
Once a player's chip, along with any prisoners, reach the home base, any enemy chips are removed from the game or eliminated, whereas friendly chips are returned to the available set of chips. Killing all of the opponent's chips will result in a player's victory.
This app generously allows you to play with your comrades on the same device or against three distinct AI versions of Android.
