Your goal is to assemble a talented stable of fighters who will take on worthy opponents and, ultimately, challenge for the world championship belt. In this game, you must recruit promising young amateur boxers, seasoned professionals, or retired veterans to your stable. After identifying your fighters, it’s time to prepare them for their upcoming bouts. However, your fighter's strategy and tactics will determine the outcome, so it's important to analyze both opponents to create the perfect fight plan. The boxing world is challenging, and one loss could put a stop to your winning streak. It will be detrimental to your progress, allowing other promising fighters to take your place. Furthermore, injuries suffered in the ring will lower your fighter's fitness level. They will be less effective in the next fight, and you will need to let them rest and recuperate before the next battle. Different fighters excel at different stages during their careers. As time passes, your boxers will age and lose their abilities. New, young opponents will be rising through the ranks, while experienced campaigners will continue to fight even if past their best. It's all up to you to decide the future of your fighter's careers. Would you rush to move them up through the ranks quickly? Or, do you prefer a more steady approach where your fighter has to build up skills before the real challenge begins? Would you like to focus more on breathless punch exchanges of the lower weight divisions or the powerful thuds of the heavier ones? Will you remain in one weight division for a decade, or will you move fighters to various divisions to capture more titles before their skills deteriorate? There's no end-game in LEATHER®.
