You have plenty of choices, from being a mercenary who uses firepower to gain wealth, to a miner exploring for rare ores. You can be a merchant that trades goods, a smuggler who deals in lucrative drugs, or even a pirate who attacks merchant ships, becomes infamous, and fights for anarchy! Engage in massive multi-faction Fleet Battles! Your actions in Star Nomad will affect your standing with factions, making you friend or foe, based on the dynamic faction-standing system under the Star Map, where green stands for ally, while crosshair behaves like the enemy. Star Nomad immerses you in a sci-fi noir setting, where you roam free in the Wildlands Sector. The sandbox game is also story-driven, featuring a personal plot inspired by classic cyberpunk movies such as Blade Runner, Johnny Mnemonic & Gundam, allowing you to determine the outcome of an escalating corporate war. While Star Nomad doesn't have a perma-death, there is a death penalty, so be careful! If your ship blows up, you'll be rescued and towed to a safe place inside a life-pod. Insurance will enable you to get a starter ship and payout to cover most modules. Still, the excess may be costly. In Star Nomad, there are various ship classes to fly, including drone carriers and the mighty battleship Yamato.
