Botrish Guti is a checker-like game played with 32 beads. Two players aim to cross the opponent's pawn and get a point; first to 32 points wins.
Botrish Guti, a variant of checker-type games like Chess, has attracted a large following in Bangladesh and some regions of India. Typically, it is played by rural folks to entertain themselves during their leisure time. It requires two players to engage in the game. Players start by putting their 32 pawns on the board based on valid positions. A player can beat their opponent if they have a pawn in hand and there is an opportunity to beat them. If a player does not have any pawns in hand, they can move their existing pawns one step forward based on the valid positions on the board.
Whenever a player successfully crosses an opponent's pawn, they score a point. The winner is the player who reaches 32 points first.
