The game is set in a world where legendary fighting warriors from around the world receive enigmatic invitations to participate in a martial arts tournament. During the tournament, the shadowy organization behind it reveals its true identity - The Kingdom. The Kingdom aims to recruit powerful fighters to join their militia or enslave anyone who doesn't comply. Only a few warriors managed to escape the tournament. However, many were never seen or heard from again. Five years later, a government project called "Street Masters" is initiated to counter the war against The Kingdom. Several factions have divided and seized control of the world. Those who join the Street Masters project must work together to dismantle each faction, crippling The Kingdom before it can launch its end game.
